Roundstone Hooker Boat

About Us

I was born and reared in Roundstone at a time when the village had a large local population and a thriving fishing industry. Married to Aisling, together we have raised a family of five children in Roundstone, we have operated a bar, coffeeshop and a bed and breakfast until Covid lead us to pivot our business to self-catering accomodation. We have a lifetime of experience in the hospitality sector. A stay at Ryan's Roundstone Retreats offers guests a unique perspective on life in the village and local insights into many attractions and activities the Connemara region has to offer visitors. Roundstone has on its doorstep, all the ingredients necessary for an unforgettable holiday experience. We cater for  large groups of friends, families and couples and always available to answer queries and offer advice, if required. Most of our properties are pet friendly.

Our properties are centrally  located in the picturesque fishing village of Roundstone overlooking the breathtaking scenery of Bertraghboy Bay and the Twelve Bens.

Close by are Gurteen and Dogs Bay beaches – well known and loved by regular visitors to Roundstone .

The village has many delightful restaurants, coffeeshops and pubs which offer a wide selection of local fresh seafood and traditional dishes.
